Be Cool as a cucumber.
The temperature is soaring , the lockdowns and household chores are never ending, children are home, we are starting to go crazy, but cucumber is there to help.
Go for it if you have high blood pressure, urinary infections, acidity, gastritis, migraine, heavy periods , skin inflammation, poor sleep , dark circles or blood shot eyes .
Have it in the form of salad with salt and lime juice, or as a raita /pachadi with yogurt, or in a cucumber dosa or just bite into it raw.
And if you feel you are going crazy with everything happening around, cut a few slices of cucumber and keep on your forehead and eyes and breathe deeply.
The reason why most people fail in their diets is because they don't think about sustainability.
Next time you want to start a 'diet', ask yourself this ' can I do this for more than a decade? '. If it's a NO, then what you need to change is not your 'diet', but the lifestyle so you don't have to keep trying new diets just to fit into a number or dress.
It's just like choosing your partner, are you happy to put up with him/her for a few decades?
Paneer , avocado and a smoothie/toast complies with 'diet', where as a home made vadai , sambar and pongal doesn't.
